Netherlands Franchise Association
Almost all professions and services represented in influential industry associations. That’s a good thing:. Such associations represent specific interests of such industry, including in the field of labor agreements (CAOs) There is however a need for an umbrella association which promotes franchising as a possibility cooperation between independent entrepreneurs, monitors and promotes. The Dutch Franchise Association (NFV) is the umbrella organization representing franchisors in the Netherlands and represents the majority of the leading franchisors (food, non-food, services, hospitality and health care).
The objectives are:
- promoting the healthy and balanced development of franchising
- combining knowledge and knowledge
- information and orientation on franchise opportunities
- contacts with other institutions and authorities in the field of franchising
- advice on general legal and commercial aspects of franchising
The main activities are:
- organizing seminars and conferences
- review of franchise contracts for members
- quality
- conflict mediation
- edition of the NFV information bulletin

Jaim Citizens The European Franchise Federation (EFF) Like the franchise associations in almost all European countries, the NFV member of the European Franchise Federation (EFF), based in Brussels. The resulting collaboration with Franchise Associations in European countries ensures mutual knowledge and exchange of ideas. The EFF maintains regular close contact with the European Commission in Brussels. Since EU directives are increasingly gezichtsbepa¬lend for ontwik¬keling of franchising in the individual Member States, it is vital that the voice of the NFV is heard through the membership of the EFF. The NFV is also directly represented in the “Legal Committee” of the EFF. World Franchise Council The NFV is also a member of the World Franchise Council, where national franchise associations are connected from many countries and continents. The WFC aims to be a forum where supranational issues can be discussed. One could think of technical legal and economic obstacles faced by companies in exporting their formula. It also happens that national legislation is being developed that is so one-sided that adjustment is required. The WFC puts the government on its vision for and attempts to achieve “corrective” action.
