McDonald’s Provides Community Grants for Local Non-Profits
What happens when a child with disabilities can’t play on the playground with all his or her friends? This question was the beginning of Shane’s Inspiration, a non-profit organization designed to build playgrounds where everyone can play together. Since they built their first playground in Griffith Park in 2000, McDonald’s owner/operators in Southern California and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California® have been there to help by donating funds to these playground projects.
Shane’s Inspiration is just one of more than 900 grants that the McDonald’s owner/operators of Southern California have funded through RMHCSC. Since 1987, local owner/operators and RMHCSC have donated more than $24 million to organizations in Inyo, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.
